This April, in recognition of National Safe Digging Month, Kentucky 811 is bringing a little competition to safety awareness.
We’re putting some of our most popular 811 videos head-to-head in a bracket-style tournament, and we need your help to choose a winner.
Each matchup features two videos competing for your vote. Watch both, pick your favorite, and cast your vote by commenting on our Facebook posts. Winning videos will advance through the bracket until one is crowned the ultimate Kentucky 811 champion.
Not only is this a fun way to revisit these videos, but it’s also a chance to highlight the importance of contacting Kentucky 811 before you dig. Every video shares an important message that helps prevent damage, protect communities, and keep everyone safe.
As a bonus, every vote counts as an entry for a chance to win a $25 Amazon gift card.

Kentucky 811 “Video Madness” Contest – Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
1. Eligibility
Participants must be:
- At least 18 years of age
- Legal residents of the state of Kentucky
2. Contest Period
The contest begins on April 1, 2026, and ends on April 30, 2026.
3. How to Enter
- Visit Kentucky 811’s official Facebook (and/or Instagram) page during the contest period
- Watch the videos featured in each matchup post
- Comment on the post with your vote (e.g., “A” or “B”)
Entry Details:
- Each comment counts as one (1) entry
- Participants may enter multiple times by voting on multiple matchup posts
- Multiple comments on the same post will not result in multiple entries
4. Matchup Voting & Advancement
- Videos will compete in a bracket-style tournament
- Each matchup will remain open for voting for approximately 48 hours
- Voting for a matchup will close when the next matchup is posted
- The video with the most valid votes (comments) will advance to the next round
- In the event of a tie, Kentucky 811 reserves the right to determine the advancing video
5. Prize
One (1) winner will receive:
- A $25 Amazon gift card
6. Prize Winner Selection
- One (1) prize winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received throughout the contest period
- Matchup winners (videos advancing in the bracket) are determined by vote totals and are separate from the prize drawing
- The prize drawing will take place after the contest ends
7. Winner Notification
- The prize winner will be contacted via Facebook or Instagram (depending on where the entry was received)
- If the selected winner does not respond within one (1) week, an alternate winner may be selected
8. General Conditions
- By participating, entrants agree to abide by these rules
- Kentucky 811 reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the contest if necessary
