Congratulations to the New KY811 Board Members

On October 22, 2025, Kentucky 811 members gathered at the 2025 Safety Connection and voted on incoming KY811 Board members for 2026. There was also a vote amongst the board for finishing terms. Together, the Board looks forward to welcoming five new members in 2026!

Disaster Recovery in Kentucky: Our Utility Family

In December 2021, an EF4 tornado hit Mayfield, Kentucky, inflicting unimagine damage and destruction on the area. In July 2022, historic floods washed over Whitesburg and Hindman, destroying physical memories and ruining structures with over five feet of water. Unfortunately, the Bluegrass state is no stranger to weather-inflicted disasters, but the people here are built with resilience and never fail to act quickly in helping one another recover.

KY811 Donates School Supplies to Local Elementary School for 811 Day

Earlier this year, Kentucky 811 hosted the inaugural Drive Fore Supplies Golf Scramble to raise funds to purchase and donate vital school supplies to a local elementary school located in an underserved community in honor of 811 Day on August 11. The success of this effort is thanks to our golf scramble participants and fellow sponsors, including the Kentucky Public Service Commission (PSC). Some of the generous sponsors can be found below.

NEW: Share the Safe Digging Message with FREE Videos

Kentucky 811 has created a variety of creative short promotional videos designed to make a major impact on viewers and remind them of the importance of safe digging. These videos are now available on Kentucky811.org for members to use however they see fit—perhaps to kick off a team meeting, for use within a presentation, or linked on their own website.
