This past fall, Kentucky 811 asked local photographers of all levels to submit photographs that capture the beauty of Kentucky for a chance to be featured in our limited-edition 2026 calendar. The top 12 photos will be featured in our official 2026 calendar. Additionally, the top three winners, chosen by our panel of judges, will receive prizes. In December 2021, an EF4 tornado hit Mayfield, Kentucky, inflicting unimagine damage and destruction on the area. In July 2022, historic floods washed over Whitesburg and Hindman, destroying physical memories and ruining structures with over five feet of water. Unfortunately, the Bluegrass state is no stranger to weather-inflicted disasters, but the people here are built with resilience and never fail to act quickly in helping one another recover.
